Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, service address, borough, the service you need and any details you type into our quote form or tell us by phone or text.
  • Call and message records: when you call or text us we may keep the phone number, date and time, and the content of text messages, so we can respond and keep a record of your request.
  • Website data: like most websites, our site and its hosting platform may automatically collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, using cookies or similar technologies. We use Google Analytics to count visits and taps on our phone number so we can see which pages help customers reach us. Google's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your request, prepare a free estimate, schedule and perform electrical work, and follow up on service you received.
  • To send text messages and emails you have agreed to receive (see "Text messages" below).
  • To operate, secure and improve our website and customer service.
  • To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

Text messages (SMS)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Texting is offered only if and when Blaze Electric Inc. has an active business text number that has been registered for texting with the mobile carriers. Until then, we do not send text messages.

When texting is available, we send texts only to people who have given their express consent, for example by checking the optional text-consent box on our quote form. Consent is not required to request a quote or to buy anything. We do not text people who have only called us. Message frequency varies and message & data rates may apply. Emails

We email you about your request, such as a confirmation that we received your quote request and follow-up about your estimate, and after a job we may invite you to review our service. Our emails say they come from Blaze Electric Inc., use accurate subject lines, include our mailing address (681 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215), and any email that is not about work you asked for includes a clear, free way to unsubscribe. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Review-invitation emails also include an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or rent your email address.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us run our business (for example our website, phone, text messaging and email platforms), only as needed to provide those services to us and subject to the SMS limits above.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our customers, our team or others.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services, keep records of work performed and meet legal requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.

Your choices

  • Opt out of texts by replying STOP, and out of emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

Security and data breach notice

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, sized to our small business, to protect the private information we hold, as New York's SHIELD Act expects. These include limiting access to people who need it and choosing reputable service providers. No website or transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as payment card numbers through our forms or by text.

If a security breach exposes the private information of a New York resident, we will notify the people affected in the most expedient time possible and within 30 days after we discover the breach, unless law enforcement asks us to wait. The notice will say what happened, what information was involved, and how to reach us. We will also notify government agencies where New York law requires it.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
