Big appliances need big power. Window and through-wall AC units, electric dryers, ovens and induction ranges, and Level 2 EV chargers usually need a dedicated 220/240-volt circuit. Plugging them into a standard outlet or an extension cord can overload your wiring.

220V & EV chargers FAQs
Can I just use an adapter for my 220V appliance?
No. A 220/240V appliance needs a properly sized dedicated circuit. Adapters and extension cords are a fire risk.
Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?
Not always. It depends on your panel's capacity and your current load. We'll check before recommending anything.
Can you install a charger in a shared garage or building?
Often, yes, with approval from building management. Contact us and we'll go over your setup.
